Choosing The Right Floor For A Outdoor Bar

Tags: , , , , ,

Choosing the right floor is very important when building your outdoor bar. The good news is that floor products have improved by leaps and bounds. Here are some of the options that will help you choose best a floor that will not only be seen by you, but by your guest that will be enjoying your outdoor bar party event.

Concrete. Concrete is a very contemporary , inexpensive and sometimes versatile material to build your floor out of. If done with the right finish, concrete can make your outdoor bar floor looked very very impressive. There many different ways you could alter the texture and taste color well. One of the things to keep in mind is to make sure the pigment or oxide is mixed directly on top of the concrete rather than painted above the surface, where the paint wears quickly. This is also very important in the busiest areas of the floor. One of the best finishes is the exposed agorarate. To make this type of finish the concrete is sprayed with a high-pressure hose before. It is fully dried, this will wash away the top layer and expose the flex a stone or aggregate in the mix.

Ceramic. Ceramic tiles are a very nice focal point, but their best to be used undercovered spaces. The reason for this is once water covers a tile they become very slick and dangerous. I’ve slipped many a time on outdoor floor tile. My parents have tile covering their house porch, and every time it would rain, I would have to be very careful not to fall and crack my head, which I have came close to doing many times. Slick surface also includes glass and a resin layer. Due to how expensive tile can get. It is best to use them as a highlighted area. A way to give your floor a little bit of decoration and the focal point. Maybe by making a border around your outdoor bar or outdoor barbecue.

Wood. Wood is a very controllable material, and also can be very neutral in the right-hands. Wood can keep your outdoor bar floor cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Wood is great if your outdoor bar will be around a swimming pool where people will be running upon the surface with bare feet or wet feet. One misconception about a wood flooring is that it does not hold well to the elements. Many missed neglected wood decks have given what a bad name as a flooring material. The truth is wood takes very little maintenance to uphold and can last for many years. Treated pine and cypress responds wonderfully to stains and oil. A seasonal pressure cleaning should be all you need to upgrade and maintain a wood in floor around your outdoor bar.

Pebbles. This is one of my least favorite outdoor rooms floorings. The reason for this is a lot of times, pebbles are taken from the river beds and beaches of communities and nature areas that are starving of water. Tons of stone and pebbles were taken from the earth every year for home use, while leaving the area there from destroyed. On top of that, they just make a mess. If you’re hosting a party with pebbles at the flooring of your outdoor bar. You’re most likely to spend the rest of the next day cleaning pebbles up off of your porch and from inside of your house.outdoor bar
