Setting Up Your Home Bar On A Budget Part 1

Even if your setting up a budget home bar,there are four basic requirements for making any drink cocktail. Of course you need ingredient, the spirits, the juices, sodas, garnishes, and ice. Bar quit many needy a shaker, a spoon, a strainer, and a clean towel. Lastly need something to serve the drinking. That can be anything from a paper cup to a fine cocktail glass. The most difficult part is knowing how to makes the perfect drink, using all these elements effectively, to make you guess the drink they will enjoy. There is a difference between making things and mastering bartending. I will try to outline the basics of what you’ll need. The rest is up to you.

The equipment

It’s said the man needs only as good as his tools. It is no different when it comes to bartending for your outdoor bar or home bar party. Even if you’re on a budget, just like the carpenter has to invest in the proper tools, you must invest in the proper equipment for your home bar or outdoor bar. This will make your job much easier and more professional looking for your guest. Once you have the right tools you ready to go. You are some of the essentials that you need.

A bar spoon: a long handled spoon with a teardrop shaped bowl and a twisted shaft. This will make stirring your cocktails easy. This is a must for stirring your drinks.

Bar towels: there is a tightly woven letting dishtowels made of flat weave cotton. Better use for polishing glasses were holding onto wet chilled wine bottles that are held in a wine bucket. There is also the terrycloth small absorbent towels that can be used for bar matter drying hands soaking up spillage, splashes and condensation. You will need to keep a lot of both kinds on hand.

Blender: a blender is very important for your home bar or outdoor bar. You’ll need a heavy-duty machine that can blend ice cubes and other ingredients into a fine slush. A blender will usually come in a 32 ounce or 48 ounce container. It is best to choose a metal base instead of the plastic bags for they will last longer. A blender is a must have for making those frozen drinks on a hot day.

Boston shaker: this is one of the most crucial bar tools for cocktail making. It usually consists of two metal cups, a larger one for holding the drinking shaking and a top one for the cover. I usually use the glass for the top cover. Whatever you need make sure you can shake it would ease and avoid any spillage or leaks. After you shake the drink, the cups are broken apart. You can use a Hawthorne strainer, if necessary to keep the ice and pour into glass. Most of the time I use both ends to drain the glass.

A Bottle opener: this is a common tool used for removing bottle caps. They come in many different styles and designs, but as long as they can pull the metal cap off of the bottle it will do fine.

A can opener: this kitchen tool were removed. When into the can with its handheld function is can be very useful for the mixtures such as coconut cream, which are held in cans. Any handheld model is sufficient for use with your home bar or outdoor bar.

Champagne stopper
: this spring-loaded wing is known disease to clamp over the top of a champagne bottle while keeping the CO2 inside the bottle. As you open it. This is great for safety.

This is just a few of the basics you will need for setting up your home bar or outdoor bar. In a later post I will add some of the more advanced bar equipment you can use for your private party!
